| Jay Miller, founder of a chain of music retail stores in North Carolina, created the Shared Visions Foundation in 2002 as a reflection of his respect for the work accomplished by nonprofit and community based organizations. Shared Visions strives to assist nonprofit agencies working in the areas of mental health, disabilities and human services. Its geographic focus is on agencies that directly benefit communities in Durham and Orange Counties where Mr. Miller has lived and worked for over 30 years.
